Ebbor Gorge Beef

π₯© Now Stocking Ebbor Gorge Beef π₯©
Weβre delighted to be stocking Ebbor Gorge Beef, produced right here on our doorstep by Neil & Lottie at Ebbor Gorge.
Their farm sits just above Ebbor Gorge, where they also conservation graze part of the gorge for the National Trust.
The herd is made up of around 40 pedigree Ruby Red Devons, all born and raised on the farm and kept outside all year round. Every animal is named, and you can even find the name of the animal your beef came from on the packaging.
π± Farming with nature in mind
Neil & Lottie are passionate about farming in a way that improves the health of their soil and encourages biodiversity. They have planted around 12,000 trees and shrubs across 7 miles of scrub strips and use a system of mob grazing, moving the cattle onto fresh pasture each day and allowing the land long periods to recover. This helps wildflowers mature and set seed.
The farm is certified organic and the cattle are 100% pasture fed, with no fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides, wormers or fly treatments used. The beef itself cannot strictly be sold as organic because the butcher is not certified.
π And the burgers?
The Ebbor Gorge burgers are 100% beef β nothing else. No fillers, additives or anything unnecessary.
So when you buy Ebbor Gorge Beef from the Community Shop, you're not only getting great local beef β you're supporting a small local farm that is working hard to look after its animals, its soil and the surrounding countryside.
Local beef. Local farm. Local shop. β€οΈ
